For more than forty years, Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks have written and recorded in a style that embraces many American sounds, including folk, swing and country-western. Over the years, he has recorded with such luminaries as Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello and Tom Waits. In the latest episode of our free audio podcast, Hicks performs in the studio and shows us what he does to arrive at his sound.
