Twitter Connections replace 'Followed By' and 'You Both Follow'

Twitter is ditching the 'Followed By' and 'You Both Follow' features for a combined feature called Connections. This new area shows up on each user's profile, right below their following/followers numbers, and tells you which connections you have in common with that user. It's still divided into 'followed by' and 'you both follow' sections, they've just been consolidated into one area of the profile.

Connections still has a long way to go before it catches up with Facebook's totally transparent social graph. Although you can now click 'more' to see your complete list of connections to another Twitter user, Twitter still hasn't added simple, important things like the total number of follows/followers you have in common with a given user. Sure, Facebook doesn't have to deal with one-way relationships, but Twitter's more complex social graph would be even more interesting than Facebook's if the data were easier to see.
